Originally from Westport, CT, Emilie Grodman graduated from Tulane University in 2014 with a degree in Neuroscience. Emilie has served as a committed volunteer with organizations in both New Orleans and New York. Emilie joined Refoundry as a volunteer and later served as full-time Assistant to the Executive Director in 2015. Upon working with fellow Refoundry volunteers Alyssa Ruderman and Christina Maida, she took part in creating the Junior Board. She is currently attending New York University College of Dentistry in pursuit of a D.D.S degree.
Originally from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Christina Maida graduated from Princeton University in 2014 with a degree in Anthropology. A long-time activist and volunteer with organizations in both PA and NJ, she joined Refoundry upon moving to NYC in late 2014. She has been a part-time and full-time volunteer, taking photos, working events, and helping with community outreach before creating a Junior Board alongside Alyssa Ruderman and Emilie Grodman. She works at a small family office in Manhattan and hopes to pursue a graduate degree this fall.
Alyssa Ruderman is a Senior Manager of Global Partnerships at Global Citizen, a digital platform geared at ending extreme poverty. There, she spends her days planning and executing on corporate and strategic partnerships. Before joining Global Citizen, she was a Strategist at Upworthy -- a media company that elevates social issues through storytelling -- and a Senior Campaigns Manager for DoSomething.org, the country's largest organization for young people and social change. She studied Public Relations, Business, and Sociology at The Pennsylvania State University and has been with Refoundry since 2015.
